The mathematicians have thus rendered the QM model unfalsifiable. On the other hand, the EM Thread model of the atom is consistent with the descriptions offered by theorists and images taken by researchers in the field. www.youstupidrelativist.com

How life on Earth evolved & how it might relate to how it would evolve on the other planets. Similar to the prehistoric episode in Fantasia, yet goes beyond it, to space! Rare Walt Disney Space series from 1957, speculating about Mars. Remember, almost 50 years ago, only Sputnik had gone up 2 months earlier!

Frontiers/Controversies in Astrophysics (ASTR 160) Class begins with a review of the first problem set. Newton’s Third Law is applied in explaining how exoplanets are found. An overview of the Solar System is given; each planet is presented individually and its special features are highlighted. Astronomy is discussed as an observational science, and the subject of how to categorize objects in the Solar System is addressed. The Pluto controversy is given special attention and both sides of the argument regarding its status are considered. Complete course materials are available at the Open Yale Courses website: open.yale.edu This course was recorded in Spring 2007.

Here are models of three different Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) mars rovers. The small one is Pathfinder, sent to Mars in 1996. The middle is a model of one of two rovers still working on mars, Spirit and Opportunity. And the largest is a model of the Mars Science Laboratory, a future mars rover which is scheduled to launch in the fall of 2009, arriving on Mars in October 2010. JPL is located in Pasadena California, home of the Rose Bowl and Rose Parade. More at www.kevitivity.com

Deepak Chopra hosted physicist Michio Kaku on his SIRIUS XM Satellite Radio Show, “Wellness Radio.” The two discussed how technology like that seen in “Star Wars” and “Star Trek” is possible, and in some cases only “decades away,” and how scientists are already teleporting atoms.
