Also called "Hyperspace", this three hour BBC astronomy documentary, hosted by Sam Neill, consists of six self-contained topical programs, each one about 30 minutes in length: (1) Star Stuff, (2)Staying Alive, (3) Black Holes, (4) Are We Alone...?, (5) New Worlds, and (6) Boldly Go. The photography, visual effects, and computer graphics are stunning. And the sound effects and music are appropriately cosmic. 1950s era commercial for Rice Chex and Wheat Chex cereals from a 1953 episode of SPACE PATROL offering the Magic Space Pictures premium. After staring at the negative image on the card that came in "specially marked boxes of Wheat Chex and Rice Chex" -- for thirty seconds as instructed -- you could actually see the image. That's because it was temporarily "burned" into the retina, much like images that remain stationary for extended periods on a computer monitor are "burned" into the screen ...

The surface operations phase covers the rover's time conducting scientific investigations on Mars. After reaching the surface of the red planet, Mars Science Laboratory will have a primary mission time of one martian year. That is, it will continue to operate at least 687 Earth days, surviving at least one martian winter in the process.Mars Science Laboratory will have higher clearance and greater mobility than any previous rover sent to Mars, traveling a distance of 5 to 20 kilometers ...

Comets lose mass when they pass close to the sun. Consequently they have finite lifetimes. Does this mean that the solar system cannot be billions of years old as science claims? If you listen to a young-Earth creationist you might think so. It turns out this is another creationist straw-man argument based on scientific illiteracy. Here are some examples of this creationist silliness. The first is from none other than Kent Hovind. www.youtube.com www.youtube.com Animations generated using ...

those people who are evolionist explain this…
if we animals started out from micro-organisms and planet etc… doesnt that mean there should be life in other planets?

  4. ChowZeb says:

I feel that we can build something more sophisticated/durable than these two rovers. They made it seem like the thing was going to fall apart at anypoint.

    good work dude…

  6. clonetrooper1583 says:

Even if it does, NASA will probably give some bullshit cover-up story in a lame attempt to explain it away…just like they always do.

he’s basically saying that around those strings, space and time are compressed. It would be like taking 10 miles and crunching it into 10 inches. That would allow you to cover 10 miles in the time it takes to cover 10 inches within the field of compression.
