The Science of Inflation Theory by Dr. Michio KakuDear viewer, please read the description before placing a comment, thank you for all your support . If you are a creationist read the following instructions: 1st please get a real job, 2nd do some research, 3rd educate yourself, 4th read some books, 5th acquire some culture and knowledge, 6th then make a comment. Thank you. Some Christian, Islamic or other theistic extremists, mix, by pure ignorance, the big bang with evolution, wich are two completely different branches of science. THE BIG BANG The Big Bang is the cosmological model of the initial conditions and subsequent development of the Universe that is supported by the most comprehensive and accurate explanations from current scientific evidence and observation. As used by cosmologists, the term Big Bang generally refers to the idea that the Universe has expanded from a primordial hot and dense initial condition at some finite time in the past (best available measurements in 2009 suggest that the initial conditions occurred around 13.3 to 13.9 billion years ago), and continues to expand to this day. Extrapolation of the expansion of the Universe backwards in time using general relativity yields an infinite density and temperature at a finite time in the past. This singularity signals the breakdown of general relativity. How closely we can extrapolate towards the singularity is debated—certainly not earlier than the Planck epoch. The early hot, dense phase is itself

Neil deGrasse Tyson Beyond Belief 06

Sun, Nov. 23, 2006 From The Science Network Neil deGrasse Tyson discusses the apparent un-intelligent design of the cosmos. www.beyondbelief2006.org

This clip picks up where the one I’m responding to (“Gods retreat from cosmology”) leaves off — it is advisable that you watch that clip first. Both clips are from Neil deGrasse Tyson’s presentation titled “The Perimeter of Ignorance” at Beyond Belief 2006. Among other things, Tyson asserts that the religiosity of some of history’s greatest scientists and their willingness to invoke the philosophy of intelligent design limited the scope of their inquiry into the natural world, to the detriment of scientific progress in general.

Neil deGrasse Tyson talks about evolution education. Sorry about the poor video and audio quality – this video was taken on a cell phone in a crowed auditorium. :P

Eric Hovind’s Stupidity Minute – The Age of the Earth

logo

Eric’s latest creation minute episode where he presents evidence for a young Earth! He uses the standard machine gun tactic where he blasts out many things without properly explaining their relevance. Furthermore, some of the “evidence” he presents seems to not be in support of a young earth, but in support of Noah’s flood which would be irrelevant towards gauging the age of the Earth. For more great information on actual science and reason, visit talkorigins.org! Footage used under the “Fair Use” clause for commentary and review purposes. However, it’s mostly used for correctional purposes.

Neil Degrasse Tyson – Stupid Design

logo

Neil degrasse Tyson was born and raised in New York City where he was educated in the public schools clear through his graduation from the Bronx High School of Science. Tyson went on to earn his BA in Physics from Harvard and his phd in Astrophysics from Columbia. Tyson’s professional research interests are broad, but include star formation, exploding stars, dwarf galaxies, and the structure of our Milky Way. Tyson obtains his data from the Hubble Space Telescope, as well as from telescopes in California, New Mexico, Arizona, and in the Andes Mountains of Chile. In 2001, Tyson was appointed by President Bush to serve on a 12-member commission that studied the Future of the US Aerospace Industry. The final report was published in 2002 and contained recommendations (for Congress and for the major agencies of the government) that would promote a thriving future of transportation, space exploration, and national security. In 2004, Tyson was once again appointed by President Bush to serve on a 9-member commission on the Implementation of the United States Space Exploration Policy, dubbed the “Moon, Mars, and Beyond” commission. This group navigated a path by which the new space vision can become a successful part of the American agenda. And in 2006, the head of NASA appointed Tyson to serve on its prestigious Advisory Council, which will help guide NASA through its perennial need to fit its ambitious vision into its restricted budget. In addition to dozens of professional
