The Multiverse or meta-verse is the hypothetical set of multiple possible universes (including the one unique universe we are pretty sure we consistently inhabit) that together comprise everything that physically exists; the entirity of space and time, all form of matter, energy and momentum, and the physical laws and constants that govern them. The various universes within the multiverse are sometimes called parallel universes. Multiverse hypothesis in physics Tegmark’s classification: Cosmologist Max Tegmark has provided a taxonomy of universes beyond the familiar observable universe. The levels according to Tegmark’s classification are arranged such that subsequent levels can be understood to encompass and expand upon previous levels. Level I: Beyond our cosmological horizon: A generic prediction of chaotic inflation is an infinite ergotic universe, which, being infinite, must contain Hubble volumes realizing all initial conditions. Accordongly, an infinite universe will contain an infinite number of Hubble volumes, all having the same physical laws and physical constants. In regard to configurations such as the distribution of matter, almost all will differ from our Hubble volume. Tegmark estimates that an identical volume to ours should be about 10^10^115 meters away from us (a number larger than a googolplex). The Structure of Existence or God The Omniverse Omniverse is the conceptual ensemble of all possible universes, with all possible laws of physics. In this physical cosmology context, the limitation of the definition of ‘universe’ that it has only one set of “physical laws and constants that govern them”, is expanded to include multiple sets of physical laws and constants, each expressed as a wholly or partially separate universe. The term is used in quantum mechanics to differentiate the concept of a limited number of universes from all existent universes. Hierarchy within the Omniverse Universe: the inside description of a context that is relative in size/structure (attribute/modes) to known universe that we inhabit. A universe, also known as Cosmos, is a particular space-time organization with a specified number of dimensions of space and time and definite and specific laws of physics. Other Universes may have different numbers of dimensions of space and time and different laws of physics than our own Universe (Cosmos).
