A quick video showing our Solar System to scale. It includes the 8 planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune) and 3 out of the 5 dwarf planets (Ceres, Pluto, and Eris; missing Haumea and Makemake because this video was made before Pluto was demoted as a planet) Sorry there’s no sound. Stars and Planets to Scale

Some stars and planets shown to scale. Beginning with Mercury then going beyond our Sun, a medium sized star, to the distant giant VV Cephei some 2400 light years away. Remember, one light year equals about 5878630000000 miles! Despite being roughly 1600 times bigger than our sun, VV Cephei is not the largest in the Universe.
