TO MARS IN MINIATURE… 2055: Voyage to Mars” takes us on a journey of discovery, as Nasa launch their first manned mission to Mars. Inspired by the late master of model special effects, Derek Meddings, David Ross brings the special effects principles which saw their hey-day in the sixties and seventies back to life with everyday household objects. No CGI was used to create these special effects. The film was made in my garage and garden for a college project. Thanks for watching!

Playthrough of Half-life 2: Episode One created by Valve. It’s finally here, after doing the HL2 series in a random order and a half-year separation from my HL2: EP2 playthrough. Again, some things to keep in mind throughout: 1. This is on normal mode. 2. In the past, I’ve been very paranoid about full armor/health/ammo. Throughout my whole playthroughs of the HL2 series, I have definitely cut down restarting from previous saves because of a loss of health, but still, don’t be surprised to see some restarts on saves throughout the run. 3. I use Hypercam and it’s crappy with all the blinking. However, I tried Fraps and although it was better quality, a mere 30 seconds took up 300MB in my hard drive and I’m not willing to sacrifice Gigabytes of space just for the sake of better quality. 4. Enjoy the playthrough! ———————————————————- The title makes absolutely no sense at all, but I really don’t care. This was definitely a VERY short game, considering I finished it in a little over 2 hours, however the contents of the game was high quality. The final boss was very lame (strider) compared to Episode 2′s 12 striders. I planned to do Black Mesa: Source but I haven’t heard news of it and it was supposed to come out, so we’ll just wait until 2011 for Episode 3….

In a small high school in a small town in country Western Australia four young teenagers are studying and practising techniques used to prepare our youth for future space exploration and planet inhabitants. We will follow them on their journey and see just how exactly they will work in a realistic simulated Mars expedition. This is the short film I entered into scinema’s ‘Look! Up In The Sky’ competition. It got into the finals, being one of the top 21 in the country!
