Die BURAN war das Ergebnis eines der ehrgeizigsten Projekte in der Geschichte der russischen Raumfahrt. Die gewaltige Raumfähre ist 36 m lang, 16 m hoch und wiegt ca. 80 Tonnen. Die im Museum gezeigte BURAN OK-GLI wurde 1984 gebaut und diente zur Erprobung von Gleitflug und Landung. speyer.technik-museum.de | The spaceshuttle BURAN was the result of one of the most ambitious projects in the history of Russian space flight. The huge shuttle is 36 m long, 16 m high and weights about 80 tons. As was the case of the US model, reusability after near-earth space flights was of major importance.
