The reason why there are fewer women in science, it has everything to do with biological DH (dominance hierarchy); women generally do not need/want to strive for status because their status position is already assured by their physical beauty which is already predetermined. Science has high status and is difficult to master, the men who do gain points in DH terms. Women have no need to do this and thus there are fewer women in the sciences, barring those few with male brain patterning.

the obama administration really should consider bringing in someone like tyson in to advertise science.
there is no-one in the scientific community as charasmatic or approachable as him. i think it would be a real benifit to have him fighting the cause. with media exposure he could make a difference
